poppin tags, never really loved it for jay's verse. there's this funness to the rest of it and even when there's a line about putting something hot thru your iceberg it's just dumb rhymemaking. there's a specificity to the rest of it, careful brand name and designer notes BY THE LATE DAPPER DAN HIMSELF. if it was at the end it would flatten all of that flamboyant shit with its flat, bored menace.

this can't be life, i am more into jay/beans/face and similar combos than anyone in the world. yeah again i probably have the other verses memorized and that beanie verse is perfect to me and i'm tingling listen to it. but jay on this is about as good as he ever got. three time felons in shorts with jealous thoughts / tryna figure where your mail is / guestimate the weight you sellin, and the shout to illmatic rockin out of every ragtop, and the emphatic sad hook.
