what do you mean?

each is probably my least favorite big '90s band from their respective sides of the pond, but i think my dislike for Blur is probably stronger

blur has at least a few songs i'd put on again by choice. the offspring i pretty much wanted stricken from the record from the first time i saw the vid for "come out and play" on 120 minutes.

on the other hand, damon albarn was kind of a jerk the one time i had to interview him. now i guess i have to interview dexter to be sure.

please tell me you used the phrase "blurillaz" when speaking to him

it was at like 6 a.m. on a monday morning. i'm surprised i didn't ask him how his brother noel was doing.

one time for the same gig i had to interview ed from radiohead and when i called the hotel he was staying at in new york i had to ask for "mr. black." which of course i couldn't help saying in the "mr. black" voice from the "kamp krusty" episode of the simpsons.

haha ed from radiohead was a totally gracious interview, by the way. "mr. black" is just still hilarious to me.

one thing that's true for both is that they all had sex with gwen stefani

that was a wild weekend -- the true woodstock of the 90s if you ask me

omg i remember the summer my brother played crazy taxi nonstop and heard the YAH YAH YAH YAH YAH of "all i want" a thousand times (hated it at the time but in retrospect it might be my favorite offspring single by default)

When the Think Tank-era Blur had to play New York obviously without Graham Coxon, but neither Alex James (visa problems), they recruited the Rival School bassist, though the obvious choice would have been Bryan Blur from Radish
