This page has some of the most ridiculous opera auditions I've ever heard. From personal experience, I know that the whole audition process can be nerve-wracking and spyche-damaging and I SHOULDN'T laugh, but... HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Share some audition stories, both good and bad. What have you auditioned for that you've gotten? What auditions have you bombed? Have you ever auditioned anyone memorable? How about famous audition stories from our favorite rock/pop/indie/hip-hop musicians?

As far as my own auditions, I've bombed a couple, and aced a couple, most your typical nervous auditioning. Once I played so well that the judges decided they didn't need me to continue onto the next round, and just hired me. Once I played so badly, I just ended up telling the guy how I had a fight with my wife that morning.

As far as judging, I don't think the world will ever run out of crying kids. Is there a sadder image than of the kid who is bombing, crying and still continues to play their etude until the bitter end?
