"Everywhere"

jon /via/ chi 2.0, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 22:33 (fourteen years ago)

"The Game of Love" cuz it's "You Get What You Give" sung by a teenage boy.

a 'catch-all', almost humorous, 'Jeez' quality (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Wednesday, 31 August 2011 22:34 (fourteen years ago)

Where is the option for "I'd rather shove a meat thermometer in my ear as far as it can go?"

i basically have to vote for "everywhere"

markers, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 22:36 (fourteen years ago)

"Everywhere" is one of those great ambiguous songs (cf. that one Lifehouse song and that one Stacie Orrico song) where you're not sure if the lyrics are addressed to an omnipresent God or to some cute boy that the narrator is stalking. although if MichBran is a stealth CCM artist, she's definitely taking her time to out herself.

She's staring at a dude throughout the "Everywhere" video so I think it's about a dude.

voted The Game Of Love because it prolly sounds better than it would have sounded on the 2nd New Radicals LP.

um, excuse me, billstevejim? that "dude" in the "Everywhere" video...is Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The music video depicts Santana and Branch in an alley with couples around them, each expressing their love for one another.

man wikipedia has a way of making you look at things in totally new, dirtier ways

"breathe" or "goodbye to you"

chorus of "breathe" gets me every time so probably that

mutant slow drum (BradNelson), Wednesday, 31 August 2011 23:29 (fourteen years ago)

"Everywhere" is a bit rubbish but the others are fantastic. Understand she hates "The Game of Love" but she's wrong. Voted for "Are You Happy Now?" because that chorus is MASSIVE - if it was the acoustic "Goodbye To You" that might have got my vote though.

Understand she hates "The Game of Love"

oh thank god.

maybe i just hate it because the song was inescapable for like a year, i feel

mutant slow drum (BradNelson), Tuesday, 6 September 2011 00:43 (fourteen years ago)

i like that song!

markers, Tuesday, 6 September 2011 01:00 (fourteen years ago)

i used to hear it over the speakers when i worked at a supermarket in 2002

markers, Tuesday, 6 September 2011 01:01 (fourteen years ago)

i think i prefer "I'm Feeling You," the 2nd Santana single she was on

oh man, I'm so glad I saw this before the poll closed. I can't be the only person voting for "All You Wanted"?

Mellon Cholo and the Infinite Sanchez (kkvgz), Tuesday, 6 September 2011 10:25 (fourteen years ago)

I'm still surprised that more hasn't been made of the similarities between "All You Wanted" and "Airplanes" by Bob and Hayley Williams.

think i would've thrown my vote at "the game of love", tho i do love "everything"

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 6 September 2011 23:01 (fourteen years ago)

"maria, maria" >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> "the game of love" tho

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 6 September 2011 23:01 (fourteen years ago)

oh hell no... "The game of love" is the only song that justified santana's comeback imo

billstevejim, Wednesday, 7 September 2011 05:35 (fourteen years ago)

Goodbye to You vs. Breathe for me.

twelve years pass...

heard "Everywhere" in a Wendy's last night and I used to hate this song but it was really refreshing for some reason.

Branch's pronunciation of "there" seems to have three syllables though
