The penultimate point in my Green Day relationship was the one time I got arrested, the cops were listening to them on the radio. I was like "Ok, game over, fuck this band".― Telephoneface (Adam Bruneau), Saturday, September 3, 2011 5:26 PM (2 days ago) Bookmark Suggest Ban Permalink

The first time I got busted, I got a block of KISS, including "Rock 'n' Roll All Night", all the way to the station.

A buddy of mine went downtown for the first time in a paddywagon that was playing "No Rain" by Blind Melon.

xp: Perhaps your life has not been sheltered and what has kept you from the long arm of the law is that you are good at concealing the fact that you were had marijuana on your person. From ages 18-23, I was profoundly unskilled at this.

well, most people don't get arrested so it's kind of a limited audience

so one day i was having a rehearsal in my basement, it was approximately 7:30pm, well before the 10pm weeknight noise ordinance, when some police officers come down my basement stairs. we stop playing and i'm like 'wtf are you guys doing in my house? did you ring the doorbell?' and they're like 'we don't have to ring the doorbell, the door was unlocked, and by the way CHECK OUT THAT WEED PIPE OVER THERE YOU'RE IN TROUBLE BUDDY' and i'm like 'uh oh' but then my drummer starts mouthing off about 'you guys can't just come in here without a warrant' (which i think is true?) and so they call in some kind of civilian witness...anyway, we're standing around waiting to get arrested, and i can hear the 2 police officers in my living room looking through my records, and i swear to god, this is what i hear: "damn stu, look at this, miles davis, isaac hayes, this kid's smokin up and listening to the good shit!".
