I used to love this band, sort of Mercury Rev meets Built to Spill, but harder to pin down than either of them

Their discogs page makes it seem like they put out a new 7-inch this year but it's a mistake, some Italian band also called Home

cool band, amazing that they had a major label deal at one point. elf was my fav album back in the day. think the only thing i still own is a 7". the bass player brad truax is a nice guy, played in other bands like jah division and soldiers of fortune (he's also "rev green" from the animal collective song)

Love these guys, especially IX - X - XI. We were discussing them a while ago on some thread I can't find (not much good to search for "Home"). Some of my friends are friends with them. Cool guys.

They're off-and-on still active (saw em a year or two ago opening for Times New Viking in New York). Br4d Tru4x has played with a bunch of bands in the last few years, went on tour w/ Animal Collective for a while and most recently has been playing bass for Interpol. Friends of mine were tripping that someone from Home was onstage at Busch Stadium in St. Louis opening for U2 hahaha.

yeah my friend I referred to above signed them to Relativity and then to V2. (is it namedropping if you don't use names?) textbook post-Nirvana, post-Sonic-Youth-on-DGC landscape I guess, majors were taking a shot with that stuff.

their record on Relativity is super weird, too. with that 25-something-minute thing at the end where they record themselves leaving the studio, getting in a van and going to 7-11, and then singing along with the tape of what they just recorded.
