yeah i was very o_O at this

have been mostly channel surfing to other things, though, didn't expect to pick H8R over X Factor

they're singing "happy birthday" to nicole, obv

i fully expect this show to be awesome, but this audition episode has been awful. it's been 32 mins and we've seen TWO auditions

oooh a multi cultural boy band from SALT LAKE CITY

god "rolling in the deep" is going to be slowly ruined by singing competition shows in ways that it never was by overexposure of the original version

it lends itself all too well to the glee/doo wop style thing

The Voice was like "oh wow this is everything i like about Idol without all the crap I'd gotten sick of." The X Factor is all that crap back in an unappetizing new package.

i'm hoping the actual contest will be better than this and better than idol

also i missed the first hour but what are the judges saying yes to? is there some sort of central second level of auditions a la idol/hollywood

it would be EXTREMELY boring to witness these auditions in person, right?

is there any concrete reason to believe it will be better than Idol other than that Idol can't get much worse?

yeah having the auditions in private and heavily edited before going on the air on Idol was merciful compared to what these audiences have to sit through

the tie-in pepsi commercial they keep running with clips of kanye's 2005 ad is so depressing, like oh look how happy he was wearing normal human clothes and not knowing what autotune was

if this show had started in the spring or summer when there wasn't a lot of competition i'd be all over it but i really can't be bothered when there's a bunch of scripted programming opposite it...maybe in a few weeks when i'm sick of all the new shows i'll pick up on it

still, so much potential this season!

checked this out w/ my parents, who used to be big american idol fans for at least 3 seasons ... they, not really having the vocabulary to express what's going on, keep asking "why the hell is it like this? why do they keep showing us these montages" and when i wasn't bothered to look up from my laptop i found the editing was rather quirky

it's like everything comes off as a retrospective, negating any sense of you "being there" regardless of whether it was filmed last night or not. idol had its slew of quick & jiffy audition bios and blooper reels, but i never remember them being in such an excess. it makes me feel like i'm watching a recap of the episode

um...this is completely a ripoff of "I Used to Love H.E.R.", and over the worstest rap tune ever.

he sounds really good tho in terms of delivery and flow.

yeah he's actually pretty amazing considering he's writing all of it himself and is about 2 years old.

while we're on the topic; Lakoda Rayne or however you the fuck you spell it are awful, Stereo HOOOOGGZZZ got robbed and America should be ashamed of itself.

would rather listen to an Astro album than a Drake or Kanye one
