The perfect solution seems to be 100% compilation albums – greatest hits, box sets, dj megamixes, best of labels, the eighties and so on. At least these are singles orientated formats but there are so many compilations and I’m voting for them because I like say 30% of the tracks…
Also going this route seems like spoiling the ballot paper - I despair of anything getting more than one vote – anyone else fancy voting for ‘Journeys by DJ Volume 5’ or ‘Tommy Boy Greatest Hits’?
Is anyone else finding this depressing?

I gave up trying to do any sort of lists or best of's ages ago. It just makes my head hurt.

I know someone who is compiling a list of 40 Manics songs/albums/eps/bootlegs to send in. How many people are just taking the piss right about now? I mean, I did mine in a mostly serious fashion, with the disclaimer that it wasnt necessarily my 40 favorites, but it was the 40 I could think of at that time as being albums/songs I wouldn't mind coming on right this second. But I've talked to a pile of people who seem to just be taking the piss.
