Thanks for listening to it all so I don't have to. While I do respect him, I can't imagine him putting out a solid LP of killer material.
"For Love" sounds very much like a middling Daphni production. Of course I'm listening on my subpar system through this crappy connection so it could be I'm missing some of the subtleties.
"Whenever" is more innovative, more along the lines of your Skee Mask or what have you.
Overall I'd say it seems like J.G.'s creative urges have largely fallen victim to excessive hype early on. I really was impressed when I first heard his productions but the white Canadian dude offering a modish update on R&B/house tropes hasn't really aged too well in this case.
