Absolutely love love love the Jon Hassell vibes of Atlas Nation (it annoys my BF but this is often a sign of quality in this area). But maybe this guy is now too crossover for psych-noise dudes? IDK. What incredibly difficult to track down prior album should I check next?

i like the high wolf and non-high-wolf cuts off essential elements. high wolf's jam is nice, all gurgly choir pads, and the one by altar eagle is a bleak gem.

I didn't know there was a new album out -- will have to look for it.

Out of the few tapes I have of his, my favorite has to be the Gabon cs from his winged sun label (2009?). Would really like to hear those tour cds as well.

The new album is so good. The last track, "Haiti" is phenomenal.
