Do any ilxors listen to any of this? What's the consensus? Too artsy for the type of people that go to Warped Tour, but too embarrassing for Pitchfork types, what is their fanbase exactly? Are they the saviors of American post-hardcore or is this just the death rattle? Didn't 90's hardcore suck the first time? If I start wearing flannel shirts buttoned all the way up and get a sweet 90's Fade will they let me be in their bsnd?

three weeks pass...

at first i thought "bsnd" was some savvy acronym for something, but then i realised it was probably just a typo.

anyhow, i've been listening to the latest la dispute album a bit. i think it rides along on a lot of contrived emotion, but there are some poignant parts here and there. the singer is grating, but the music is quite inventive and suitably restrained in a calculated kind of way.
