Dead set classic, I'd say.

Agree - "The Parker Tapes" one of the albums of the year.

Track 94 is possibly one of the most frightening things you'll ever hear - if you can find it, play it today of all days.

it's really hard working out which track's which on soulseek.
has there only been the one tape/compilaetion, or is there 2 ?

the xmas cut up mix(2o minutes long) that they ended the remix show with
on xfm last year is absolute genius.

"The Parker Tapes" CD is the only thing commercially available at present. If you go to the link provided by OCP the track in question is "Fly Me To New York."

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 11 September 2002 10:38 (twenty-three years ago)

classic genius and ripe to take-over the painfully dull world glitchy electronica

More Classic than Dud, that's for sure.

brrrrr that 'fly me to...' is chilling.

Yeah, that's a bit of creep-out.

They opened for Squarepusher last year when I saw them -- and fucking killed. It was two guys -- one came out dressed as Bush in a jogging suit and another as Blair in a housedress. Of particular genius was this whole porno cut-up of Harry Potter audio books done to the image of Blair fellating Bush.

Needless to say, Squarepusher fucking bit it by comparison.

The Streets cut-up on "Dead Horse" actually made me laugh for far too long. It's a much more uncomfortable listen than "The Parker Tapes", except the Bush/Blair stuff is too obvious.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 8 November 2005 20:58 (nineteen years ago)

The Harry Potter stuff is fantastic, as is the Jeremy Clarkson savaging.

Doozer, Wednesday, 9 November 2005 13:54 (nineteen years ago)

xpost The Streets cut up is without a doubt the funniest thing I've heard this year. You're a twat and don't you know it. Made sticking with Rob Da Bank worthwhile in the end.

Billy Dods (Billy Dods), Wednesday, 9 November 2005 14:18 (nineteen years ago)

I have that Micks tape cd, but it's a nightmare getting hold of anything else by them.

Sorry, I shouldn't say "my". It's 3 other guys and myself who contribute to it.
