I'm going to a remembrance of her tomorrow night:
http://daisydebolt.com/
A friend's idea--I know very little about her, even though I own what I assume is Fraser & DeBolt's first (only?) album.

yess. Them Dance Hall Girls, Waltze of the Tennis Players, Broad Daylight Woman, bafflingly unrecognised top tier 70s folk.
(they have two albums I think, the second one is called With Pleasure.)

holy crud, had no idea that she just died .. bummer :(
not gonna front that I had heard of them before Baird's cover, but picked up their two lps after that and they quickly became favorites.
that youtube clip is great. One does wonder what the crowd made of them at the Philly Folk Fest in 1971.

No problem. Some of the stuff last night wasn't really my kind of thing, but parts were great: they began with a great drony bagpipe piece, there was a nice instrumental done by one of the old Fraser & DeBolt producers and another woman, and I liked a folkie thing done by Fraser, DeBolt's son, and a couple of other guys.
