This is a strange issue for me. I get told off by Proper Indie Fan Boys for fancying the musicians that I idolise, like this somehow diminishes both them, and my fandom itself. (any band that is fanciable must = band that GURLS like, therefore bad.)
Yet, men are just as guilty of this, when confronted with talented female performers. They just don't have the practice of NOT sublimating their lust into their worship, the way that women have that double I love them/I want to fuck them dichotomy to their appreciation.
I always thought that men were missing half the enjoyment of fandom that way, but that's just me.
Have I mentioned how hot Andrew Scott is lately? Didn't think so, no.
