Michael Gonzales music writer

Hey guys,

according to a facebook share I just saw music writer Michael Gonzales was shot outside his home in Brooklyn last night & is currently in the hospital. I don't know if anyone here knew him, although considering his writing credits I imagine some people must have, but I thought maybe this was something where, since many of us are in this industry, we might want to put together a paypal or something i don't know. I hope he's doing OK

Ugh, yeah, so sad. He is such a positive guy. I actually only "know" him via facebook, i don't think we've met in the flesh. But just one of those super upbeat people always sharing good stuff with others. I really hope he's okay.

wow, that's awful news. only met Michael once. very warm and open. he wrote the first magazine feature on Jay-Z, for The Source i think.
