^ These are all the tracks and albums we nominated. I tried to catch any doubles, but if there's something I missed then please mention it in the thread. We'll make a note of it and wait for votes to roll in to address the problem.

The procedure is simple: enter your tracks and album ballots (up to 25 items on each), one item per line, in the appropriate fields below. You can choose one of three ballot types, which determine how points are allocated to each item you vote for:

(1) Weighted: The first item on your ballot receives 50 points, the second receives 48 points, and so on, until the 25th item receives 2 points.

(2) Unweighted: Each item on your ballot receives 26 points.

(3) Mixed: To submit a mixed ballot, you must divide your ballot in two with an extra blank line. The upper portion of the ballot will be treated as weighted, with the first item receiving 50 points, and so on. The lower portion will be treated as unweighted, in that all items will receive the same number of points. The score allocated to items in the unweighted portion is calculated as 26 minus the number of items in the weighted portion (this is so that any weighted, unweighted or mixed ballot consisting of 25 items will allocate a total of exactly 650 points).

Feel free to campaign in this thread, but if you wish to accompany your campaign with youtube embeds there's a thread for that.

Vote and have fun. Polls close midnight NYC time January 20th. That's 5am January 21st for Britishes and 9pm on the 20th for those 'mercans on the left coast. If you're somewhere else on the planet, please consult a time zone chart. After seandalai tabulates the results, we'll start with the tracks countdown the following Monday and then the albums countdown the Monday after that.

As a consolation I did nominate the album and I thought I nominated "The Copper-Top" as track but it seems to have got lost in the sandbox Christmas mess.

This is the first year in a long time where I really feel like I don't know/care enough to even have a personal top 10 list. (Just been busy with other things, is all.) But my lack of timeliness in nominating won't prevent me from opining that Justin Vivian Bond's album was totally slept on everywhere this year. If I had a top 10, it would be high on it.

i can't remember and the bloody sandbox is down, but the other albums i nominated are definitely present. i would definitely have checked for it first though, it would've been a sure vote.

I also assumed "In Dust" was nominated, even submitted it on my ballot. Only realised it was missing when I ran the results script and got an error message, had to sub in another album instead.

We could do retrospective nominations I guess if something obvious was overlooked but it's not something I'm keen on in general.

Was thinking that maybe next year the nominations process could be more liberal - not going as far as unlimited nominations, the list must still be readable - but upping the number of noms per person or preloading the list with e.g. all the FACT/Pitchfork/Wire/etc end-of-year charts. Seems better to err on the side of inclusiveness than exclusiveness.

(before anyone brings it up, getting rid of the nomination stage is not an option)
