Just thought I'd put this on here on the chance that fans of the Slits or Viv's recent solo stuff might be interested.

The EP she released in 2010 was excellent!

I saw her supported by the TVPs at gig promoting a zine about the Desperate Bicycles, that was a great gig. The TVPs were even good that night.

She is still a brilliant guitarist. The Flesh EP from 2010 is indeed excellent. Hopefully she will be get the funds together to release the new album.

What year was this? Could be anywhere in the last 30 as far as I can work out.

She needs help and she is a genuine talent. Anyone who has ever dug Cut by The Slits, if you can help her.

And it's damn good! It's great to hear artists embrace their changing lives as they age and write songs about it. Sure, a good love song is still relevant to me but lyrics that I can relate to now are very welcome.

Yeah, it's really good. The songs are cool and the whole thing holds together well. It doesn't sound much like the Slits. But that said, I think it captures the playfulness and charm of the Slits far more than the (Viv-less) Slits reunion records did. The record shows proves to me what I always thought, which was that Viv's role in songwriting for the Slits was often ignored in favor of the over-arching spectacle of the band. Her talent is real, and this record shows it.
