Hmm, this is between Phoenix and the xx for me. Going with the xx b/c they're more likely to surprise me (in a good way).

Not all that fussed about any of these. Sleigh Bells maybe? Animal Collective is an odd omission.

There's albums there that I'll be curious to hear but I wouldn't say I'm anticipating them all that much. So far there's really nothing on the horizon that has me circling my calendar but I'm sure they'll be some surprises during the year.

Guessing that there'll be a new Bat For Lashes at some stage, though I haven't heard any news on it at all. Would definitely be excited to hear that.

I didn't realize D'Angelo's new album was a real thing that was actually finished.

Phoenix, The xx, Jay-Z and Frank Ocean all look promising. Somehow I'm sure Pearl Jam's new stuff will be way more tolerable than Soundgarden's new stuff.

I'm actually surprised there's only one Tucanes album coming out this year; they frequently release two albums either simultaneously or nearly so, one that's all love songs and one that's all narco songs.

You are confusing excitement with anticipation here. One knows exactly what the next Mariah is going to sound like. Top-notch producer + Mariah = a made bed. Nice, but nothing to get too excited about. Yet no-one knows what the next Phoenix will sound like.
