the smell of Whiney's cheap perfume (Noodle Vague), Thursday, 19 January 2012 00:55 (fourteen years ago)

"I'm Straight," but i'm tempted to vote for Urban Verbs just on some corny "hey i know the most obscure track on this" shit

damgaged goods with map references a close close second

LINES

Exile in lolville (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Thursday, 19 January 2012 00:58 (fourteen years ago)

Wow! I had this LP. I think you had to send away for if my memory is correct. At the time it was Damaged Goods but I remember also digging I'm Straight and Government Center. That was the first time I heard Nico solo too. I haven't thought about Troublemakers in ages!

I've got a soft spot for Subways, but against Public Image I have to objectively say Public Image.

Govt Ctr

ENBB, Thursday, 19 January 2012 02:43 (fourteen years ago)

"Map Reference," easily. If it were the actual "Anarchy," and I were in the right frame of mind, it'd be close. (If Robin Lane gets a vote, Greil Marcus is lurking.)

clemenza, Thursday, 19 January 2012 02:47 (fourteen years ago)

Map ref would be 2nd for me. GC wins mainly cause, well, Boston.

ENBB, Thursday, 19 January 2012 02:49 (fourteen years ago)

How does one drive "faster miles an hour"?

clemenza, Thursday, 19 January 2012 02:51 (fourteen years ago)

"Video Killed The Radio Star" because I only kind of fell in love with it recently

Public Image

Voted Damaged Goods, though I'm Straight is a close second.

Regional Tug (irrational), Thursday, 19 January 2012 03:29 (fourteen years ago)

Probably will vote for Jojo, although can't decide which, but there is some stiff competition.

What We Did on Our POLLidays (James Redd and the Blecchs), Friday, 20 January 2012 14:59 (fourteen years ago)

Weird comp.

Swan Lake (aka Death Disco)

Mark G, Friday, 20 January 2012 15:04 (fourteen years ago)

Speaking of "I'm Straight," there is an excellent story near the beginning of Love Goes To Buildings On Fire about Ernie Brooks racing down from Boston to New York for a New Year's Eve show and the van with all the Modern Lovers' equipment breaking down in New Haven.

Swan Lake vs. Map Ref for me

Charles Kennedy Jumped Up, He Called 'Oh No'. (Tom D.), Friday, 20 January 2012 15:05 (fourteen years ago)

The Sex Pistols live track is unique to this album.

Mark G, Friday, 20 January 2012 15:05 (fourteen years ago)

Public Image with Damaged Goods a close second

Meme Rogers (DL), Friday, 20 January 2012 15:07 (fourteen years ago)

What are you fighting for? It's not my security.

Map Ref

good luck in your pyramid (Neil S), Friday, 20 January 2012 15:10 (fourteen years ago)

Torn between Map Reference and I'm Straight. Anthrax and Clean Clean are in there, too. Went with the Modern Lovers.

Little GTFO (contenderizer), Friday, 20 January 2012 15:33 (fourteen years ago)

Look at those obscurities! Voted Public Image though.
