Domino poll: SWEET POTATO PIE vs. GETTO JAM

In 1993, Domino released a couple of the greatest melodic rap singles of all time. Both songs were produced by DJ Battlecat and are the ultimate earworms, equipped with; syrupy hooks, bouncy drums and slinky bass lines. I played both to death as a teenager and over the years have heard tons of claims as to which one is better. Let's settle this.

Getto Jam is a personal all-timer. Not a second thought.

I wish that bad ass guitar at the end of GJ was more prominent throughout the song.

I've always thought of GJ as Regulate's cooler, more fun cousin.

As a Box-era youngster, I was confused by the simultaneous existence of this Domino and the Heiroglyphics' Domino. Odd to have two hip-hop figures, coastal contemporaries no less, releasing music at the same time.

Yeah for sure, I didn't know they were different people until just a couple years ago.

loved both tracks back in the day - listening to them now, like then, "Sweet Potato Pie" has the upper hand for me.

Meant to vote - if I had I would've pushed "Ghetto Jam" up to 10.
