2 Bears (Joe Goddard/Hot Chip side project)

Anyone else really enjoying this album? Upfront, the vocals clearly aren't going to be for everyone (although personally I find the idea of gruff cockney bear voices doing shout outs to Sticky and Danny Weed quite endearing), but I've been playing it near constantly for a week.

The whole thing is hooky as hell and it works so well as dance music that the concept never really becomes annoying, although there's a country/dancehall hybrid that comes close. Also, bears are way cool.

I would like to dance to "Bear Hug" in a bear club. That would be awesome.

Yes, I am really enjoying this album. It's a bit rushing-on-your-first-pill-in-1990, in a good way. Reminds me of The Beloved at times.

Gets a bit much over the course of an album but there's some fun stuff on there

Innocent Smoothies is a bit harsh, although the dividing line between Innocent Smoothies and early 90s loved up ecstasy drivel is probably thinner than either side would like to admit.
