Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Monday, 16 September 2002 10:49 (twenty-three years ago)

Where are these 'girls' then? ;)

Tom (Groke), Monday, 16 September 2002 11:02 (twenty-three years ago)

music for girls for all the boys in the world!

erik, Monday, 16 September 2002 11:07 (twenty-three years ago)

I was trying to work out why this record is so annoying because the idea behind appears to be grand.

Graham (graham), Monday, 16 September 2002 11:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Erik are you "made up"?

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Monday, 16 September 2002 11:11 (twenty-three years ago)

Music for Girls: classic

Actually - and I know you expect me to say this - the new Baxendale single (if it ever comes out) 'Your Body Needs my Sugar' is GRATE and may even convert some waverers. (email me if you would like an mp3)

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Monday, 16 September 2002 11:44 (twenty-three years ago)

made up? as in make-up? well, no, I'm a non-make up wearing boy, though rather confused by your question

erik, Monday, 16 September 2002 12:23 (twenty-three years ago)

I recomment electroconvulsive therapy. NOW.

kate, Monday, 16 September 2002 15:10 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, hopefully using so much electricity that all power to Baxendales drum machines will be cut off FOREVER aaahaahahaha.

Sarah (starry), Monday, 16 September 2002 15:19 (twenty-three years ago)

What Kate and Sarah said.

RickyT (RickyT), Monday, 16 September 2002 15:21 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh my!

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Monday, 16 September 2002 15:23 (twenty-three years ago)

Is this the same as "Well, if this is really music/This is music for girls" Music For Girls?

jM, Monday, 16 September 2002 17:07 (twenty-three years ago)

A lot of the criticism that baxendale gets sounds like it comes from people who never heard the album. It's not a bad record. Doesn;t sound much like Pulp or even Pet Shop Boys to me.

g (graysonlane), Monday, 16 September 2002 17:26 (twenty-three years ago)

sofar only the boys like it and the girls hate it

erik, Monday, 16 September 2002 19:48 (twenty-three years ago)

Jerry, are you?

erik, Monday, 16 September 2002 19:50 (twenty-three years ago)

"Neato" is a better song.

Leaving lyrics aside, "Music for Girls" approximately = "The Bad Touch".
