i enjoy this ferraro thing, now if only i had some kind of theoretical armature to go with it

This is great.

This guy's a genius, taking the Ariel Pink Doldrums aesthetic to the next level.

haha, this is true, but he does do it pretty well.

Alexandre Dumbass (dog latin), Friday, 24 February 2012 17:09 (thirteen years ago)

Whatever it is, I dig it. On Air is so awesome.

'even the anticultural may be burdened by too heavy a cultural load: but it will use it actively, for forgetting instead of remembering, for underdevelopment instead of progress towards development, in nomadism rather than sedantarity, to make a map instead of tracing.'

'today riches and honours have been lavished on me, but one gift has been lacking, the most important one of all, the only one that matters, the gift of youth.'

'what would it have made of me, what would it have made of me? i keep forever wondering, all idiotically; as if i could possibly know! i see what it has made of dozens of others, those i meet, and it positively aches within me, to the point of exasperation, that it would have made something of me as well.'

loving "raiden - blue lights # nzt", first thing that's really grabbed me

also lol @/w "e cig" as a song title #trending

Little GTFO (contenderizer), Friday, 24 February 2012 17:29 (thirteen years ago)

feel like this album would make more sense if i crushed it down to 64 kbps

Little GTFO (contenderizer), Friday, 24 February 2012 17:34 (thirteen years ago)

I'd like to hear it blasting out of a nice pink shower radio on a fading AM frequency.

Yeah total bladepunk.

MikoMcha, Friday, 24 February 2012 19:05 (thirteen years ago)

this tape is a bit rote woozy loops, feels like he's playing around w/ new software. 2am ghost rnb vibes are so solidly anathema to weary critics he cld almost be trolling, but i prefer it to bebetune$' pseudo araabmuzik/clams

ogmor, Friday, 24 February 2012 20:32 (thirteen years ago)

'there are too many peeling skate decals on these bargin-bin dvds. i wish tomorrow was still yesterday'

but that casino gardens tape is p good ogmor you should try it: spritely ancestral recall layered over nothing

99x (Lamp), Friday, 24 February 2012 20:36 (thirteen years ago)

haha pushing yr beloved micro-released cassette jams... that clip sounded a little like ferraro circa 2009 but mb a bit twee/like pastiche? idk i am probably being too hateful today, i feel like i will take a chance on yr recommendation & if it's terrible i can just ignore everything you ever say

ogmor, Friday, 24 February 2012 20:55 (thirteen years ago)

you should already be ignoring everything i say

99x (Lamp), Friday, 24 February 2012 21:01 (thirteen years ago)

its is v two modes ago ferraro tho but in a ~~good way~~

99x (Lamp), Friday, 24 February 2012 21:01 (thirteen years ago)

meh, lamborghini crystal was his best project, most of the albums under his own name I don't find that interesting, especially the latest ones. Weird that the wire decided only last year to properly bother with him

kinda like ferraro but prefer this

coal, Monday, 21 May 2012 10:15 (thirteen years ago)

that's what I like about ferraro. it's not the music, but like, the idea the music creates man. reflections on our present life situation through sound. of course a million artists have done this, but he goes to the 90s and 2000s, so that's interesting.

Spectrum, Monday, 21 May 2012 11:54 (thirteen years ago)

then I remember its 2012. 2010s.

^^ 'alien microwave' and 'roach motel' are great iirc. still, i prefer 'pacific rat temple band', 'alternative soundtrack to scream in blue surf' or even 'teotihuacan' to any of those. and 'marble surf' is gorgeous, obv.

geniuinely disappointed that you didn't just make up all those titles as a joke
