That's myself, fellow Dangerous Minds blogger Ron Nachmann and other friends. Ian Marshall found this clip in some archive or other for a proposed New Wave Theatre documentary. I don't believe it ever aired.

holy toledo, brad! i had no idea. wow. well, thank you for that!

Sure! You can imagine how glad I was to see that after 30 years. Too bad we were so bratty to Ivers. This must have been very shortly before he died.

what year is that? when did steaming coils start? (i am not a history major, forgive me.)

scott seward, Wednesday, 29 February 2012 16:28 (thirteen years ago)

This clip was '82. Steaming Coils started in '84.

a proposed New Wave Theatre documentary

^^^ would love. Young, totally unknown post-punk era bands like this inspire me too, in a way that not much today does or can.

Okay discovering the Brad connection is amazing.

Unfortunately I think the documentary ended up just being an evening of archival finds screened at Cinefamily here in L.A. a couple of years ago. Probably too much weirdness related to David Jove. It still creeps me out to remember dealing with that guy.

one year passes...
