It's not one of the most fun reasons to hate the article, but nothing seemed as egregious as writing an article about house music and including, in the very first sentence, the name David Guetta. Big time "this is not jazz" reaction.

A Little Princess btw (s1ocki), Tuesday, 13 March 2012 05:17 (thirteen years ago)

TBH, even though that article is funny, and the title is kinda misleading (as he's talking mostly about the US, not the world) I don't think the main point he's trying to make is wrong? Sure, a few house tunes might've made the charts in the US back in the late 80s, but electronic dance music based on house and techno has never been as ubiquitous in American pop as it has become in the last 5 - 10 years. There might've been mini-fads like hip house before, but before the 00s I don't think there's ever been a time when so many big American rap, rnb, and pop vocalists use house and techno sounds?

Tuomas, Tuesday, 13 March 2012 08:46 (thirteen years ago)

Yes, he has observed a very obvious trend that has been going on for a couple of years now and has written very badly about it, so fair play to him.
