Just listened to Moodymann's "I Can't Kick This Feelin' When It Hits" again and I realized this track would be awesome to listen to when you're "in the zone." With its locked, repetitive groove and sleazy cut up vocals. Anyone knows other house tracks that sound like this? Another example:

This is the first tune I thought of, you can feel the humidity rising when you listen to it. Pretty much the only time I smoke weed now is in the summer if I'm in the park with friends who have some, and this is the tune I'd want to hear.

I got spoiled rotten: saw Mr Parrish, Derrick May, Jesse Saunders, a lot of different guys. There's nothing like that here.

Well the thread description is a very big set of sounds, since virtually every deep house producer in the last ten years has been influenced by Moodymann and Theo Parrish.

And virtually every house single since the late 80s has had at least one slightly druggy cut, or it least it seem like it.

I think it's a matter of perception. One druggy track for some can sound normal for others.

I've had a fever for about 4 or 5 days so just about everything sounds a little off at the moment, maybe its the cold medicine.

Still not entirely sure what to look for in druggy house, but wanted to post this regardless:

maybe this image would help you: low ceiling basement, smokes lingering, minimal lighting, sparse dancefloor with people dancing like zombies, DJ playing slow house with some sinister, sleazy quality to it. tracks that float, hypnotic, repetitive, but really groovy.
