For me it's Mahler too. The order in which I fell in love with the movements was: 4-1-2-3. The middle two movements may now be my favourite part of it all.

yeah it certainly isn't only about the 4th, but when it's done right it is still an incredible slow-burn that throws the rest of the symphony into shape for me

Hm. Totally missed this poll. But I would have voted Mahler as well (Bruckner not far behind in 2nd place). My favorite movement of the Mahler has always been I. That 'faltering heartbeat' moment, ayyeeee.
