call for weird music :)

hi all,

having been a regular lurker here and knowing a bunch of obsessive music nerds when i see them (ahem..), i was wondering if any of you could provide my friend Dr.Fetid with suggestions, samples, or mp3s for his weird music page, plugged once on NYLPM, I believe..

latest thing up, which I tried to mail Tom about but kept getting mail-bounces, is a Nintendo Gameboy version of Sisqo's "Thong Song". Really. And you'll be pleased to know, or at least UK residents will, that John Shuttleworth's classic "Y Reg" is a forthcoming Dr.Fetid attraction. We try not to feature anything that isn't suitably out of copyright or obscure enough that we won't be affecting sales, btw.

Replies in this discussion forum or emails with offers or suggestions to Dr.Fetid at drfetid@email.com gratefully received.

And if anyone has Spitting Image's "I've Never Met A Nice South African", that's a good place to start.. any other 'most wanted' awful/bad/weird/novelty songs people have?

yes just put alot of energy recently in tracking down brian & michael's matchstick men and matchstick cats and dogs- hardly obscure 11 weeks at no.1 in uk charts in 1974? but the first song i ever remember hearing and also a rather bizarre tribute to lowry- uk folk art hero. bribes etc at record stors produced nothing typically napster produced 15 people with it.check it star!

Three weeks at Number 1, April 1978. It might be Jim Callaghan's epitaph.

I made a mix like this once, in 7th grade. "Ninja Rap" was the first track.
