Frances-Marie Uitti: 2 Bows (four quid on Rupert Street)
Tony Ferrino: Phenomenon (yes, yes - Coogan's nadir, but it was worth the £1.50 for the look on Pam's face when she finally realised who the swarthy stud on the cover was; separate thread: records bought as a gag?)
Serge Gainsbourg: No.2 (reissue of 1959 LP on 10" - for Pam; the one with the bouquet and the revolver on the cover)
Mouse On Mars: Idiology (LP, a penny short of a tenner in Rough Trade)
V/A: Clicks & Cuts 2 (triple-CD - also RT. Much sweeter and warmer than #1 on first listen).
― Michael Jones, Monday, 7 May 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I also got a free promo from the pile that the store I bought No. 1 used from was trying to get rid of - "Herd of Instinct" by Orang, a very intriguing album apparently by ex-members of Talk Talk. All these except No. 2 I got used--hooray for internet shopping!

Textstar is a comp of the Klang Elektronik singles. I like the Farben material more than Jelinek and Gramm -- these are his most ornate and dubby productions. A different vinyl-only delux pkg called Starbox just came out too.

Well, it's on the 'Pinky Blue' album so why not just get that? (If the record stores near you are as good as they say they are they should have it) I bought my copy for 40p from a car boot sale years ago. Marvellous. I still maintain 'Blue Monday' was influenced by the album version of 'I Could Be Happy'...
