obviously, the bar for success varies pretty widely here, some of these albums sold a lot and some of these acts were never very big to begin with, but pretty much each of these albums sold less half of what the artist's previous album had. a lot of bands got dropped from their labels and/or broke up or went on hiatus after this, and pretty much none of them had a big Green Day/RHCP-style sales comeback later on even if some maintained pretty healthy careers from then on.
