You bought it. You don't care for it anymore. You can't sell it because no one wants it, and there are already 12 copies in the bin.

Dodgy: Homegrown
Black Grape: It's Great When You're Straight... Yeah!

I thought Homegrown was a great album. I bought up all the second hand copies and gave them back to my friends as xmas presents.

Presidents of the United States of America (sadly)!

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Friday, 20 September 2002 13:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Oasis 'Be Here Now'
Blur 'The Great Escape'

Here in New York every used CD bin seems to have at least one Tar album. It's come to the point where I'm now surprised when I don't see Clincher in the T section.

''Oasis 'Be Here Now'''

did anybody finish listening to that the first time it was released?

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Friday, 20 September 2002 15:07 (twenty-three years ago)

Pocketful of Kryptonite by the Spindoctors. Ripped "Jimmy Olsons Blues" and hocked it.

Oh yes.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 20 September 2002 15:15 (twenty-three years ago)

ned- I should've guessed.

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Friday, 20 September 2002 18:34 (twenty-three years ago)

I found a place that took ALL of my dud CDs, including the scratchy ones. I *finally* got rid of the Green Jelly CD! I only got 25 cents for most of them.

Aaron Grossman (aajjgg), Friday, 20 September 2002 18:41 (twenty-three years ago)

everywhere in manchester - 'k' - kula shaker,
m people - 'elegant slumming', 'trainspotting' soundtrack,
prince 'diamonds and pearls'.

piscesboy, Friday, 20 September 2002 18:58 (twenty-three years ago)

in 70s Australia, "Slade Alive!" fitted this bill perfectly.

phil turnbull (philT), Friday, 20 September 2002 20:46 (twenty-three years ago)

the sterolab joints between "emperor tomato katsup" and "sound dust"

mike (ro)bott, Friday, 20 September 2002 21:09 (twenty-three years ago)

"Blur 'The Great Escape'"

There must be someone who'll take that off your hands. It's a classic album.

Bands oft spotted in second-hand shops: Strangelove, Garbage, My Life Story, Oasis, Gay Dad.

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Friday, 20 September 2002 21:10 (twenty-three years ago)

I still have "Diamonds and Pearls"... and still play it!

Sean (Sean), Friday, 20 September 2002 21:12 (twenty-three years ago)

Soul Asylum - Let Your Dim Light Shine. I've been trying to get rid of it for the past eight years. But I'll soon be free at last - the thrift shop is coming to pick it up on Tuesday, along with two duffle coats and a macrame plant hanger.

Poppy (poppy), Friday, 20 September 2002 21:31 (twenty-three years ago)

There's a used reocrd store that has 400 or so copies of Green Day- Dookie going the whole way around the store.

brg30 (brg30), Friday, 20 September 2002 21:58 (twenty-three years ago)

that's odd - Dookie's the best thing they ever did! Poor My Life Story tho - I still love The Golden Mile but if I wanted to sell it I'd be laughed out of town...hmmm.

Charlie (Charlie), Saturday, 21 September 2002 05:53 (twenty-three years ago)

CRACKED. REAR. VIEW.

My name is Kenny, Saturday, 21 September 2002 13:55 (twenty-three years ago)

OK Computer is the big one. i remember going round endless rekkid shops around 1999 trying to sell my copy only to be laughed at by the owners who already had stacks of unwanted OK Computer's lying on the racks and more coming in daily from assorted student types.

Wyndham Earl, Sunday, 22 September 2002 04:10 (twenty-three years ago)

i sold dookie too. also: hooverphonic. a while ago i bought a chocolate genius cd and got rid of it the following day, but that's probably not so relevant

ron (ron), Sunday, 22 September 2002 05:45 (twenty-three years ago)

haha everything by Jodeci from my teenage years. i have (mostly) stopped listening to these but i would not sell them for fear of being laughed right out of echo (i swear i've had dodgy looks from one of the surlier guys in there for buying a dusty springfield rekkid, what a TOSSER!) and anyway its kind of funny to listen to them occasionally - haha - they thought they were SEXY! and whats funnier is that i once did too!!!

di smith (lucylurex), Sunday, 22 September 2002 07:54 (twenty-three years ago)
