i wanted to find that picture where the sea had retreated and there were rusting ships just on the dry former sea bed, and there was a town, a former fishing village and its seafront just looked out onto nothing becuase the sea had gone

But I've been there and the thing that worked best (crossing the Arals from Tehran to the Caspian) was Underworld - Pearl's Girl.
