I have a soft spot for Tommy Thayer's old band, but this is Ace or Vinnie.

I guess I'll be the lone weirdo stanning for Kulick.

Re-listening to Animalize right now and dang...Mark St. John was really good. Wikipedia says he did most of this album through a Rockman.

Ace, definitely. But, though he comes off as a jerk, Vinnie Vincent came up with some phenomenal riffs on Creatures and Lick it Up.

Vinnie Vincent Invasion gave the world Mark Slaughter, so...deal with that as you see fit.

otoh, Michael Bolton gave the world Bruce Kulick.

That first VVI record was fun, despite Slaughter.

Frehley's Comet was kinda the worst, though...right?

The first Frehley record is good fun. What an ungainly-sounding voice he had (has?). Added to the "charm," I guess?

Are y'all talking about his Kiss record from 1978 or the first Frehley's Comet record from 1987? Because I'll give you the Kiss record being a good time.

Frehley's Comet is more, sympathetic smile, back away slowly and pretend you never heard anything.

Frehley's 1978 solo record is possibly my favourite Kiss LP.

Nope. Not even close, imo.

Revenge had a few good ones 20 years ago. But this new tune is pretty great, which as EZ and I discussed earlier via twitter, has Tommy Thayer's influence all over it.

Revenge did have a few good cuts. But nothing this good.
