I'll almost definitely vote for "Icky Thump" since it's fantastic. I still like the 30 Seconds to Mars well enough though. I really enjoyed that album at the time. (I'm the only ILMer who did, as far as I know. See also: Decemberunderground.) Aside from Finger Eleven and Three Days Grace, neither of which I like, and the Incubus, which I only know because of the 2006 poll, I don't remember the rest of these.

Are the 00s NIN albums worth hearing if I like The Downward Spiral (but never loved it like so many do)? The only one I know is The Slip, which was not bad iirc.

In general I'm okay with them, teeter towards "dislike" but outside of NIN I'd sure as hell buy one of their albums over anyone else on the list

eh i enjoy the frusciante-driven pop peppers. still think by the way is cool, frusciante's solo material around this time is incredible, etc.

"One Thing" was a much better, and much different, song by Finger Eleven that sounds nothing like "Paralyzer." And kudos to whomever pointed out the "Trampled Under Foot" ripoff.

I really like The Good Soldier off it.

i am forever butting heads with DJP whenever Year Zero comes up but for me it's their worst album and the only later NIN not worth checking out, "My Violent Heart" and the short instrumental intro being the only keepers

Nah, it's better than both With Teeth and The Slip.

most NIN records sound so powerful and visceral, Year Zero is like laptop slurry

probably "We're In This Together" or "Every Day Is Exactly The Same", even if I do have a massive soft spot for "The Great Destroyer"

it's really good to just put on for one of the four sections at a time, or play a few tracks on shuffle, obviously a lot to digest on its own.
