I like both of her solo albums pretty uniformly. Haven't liked a No Doubt track since "Ex-Girlfriend".

i think she's been good for at least a couple good songs and a lot of smh for pretty much album with or without the band, but Rock Steady prob had the highest ratio of the former over the latter

outfits and hairstyles may have changed but wow these guys do not appear to have aged a day in 15 years.

No Doubt's drummer is having almost as much trouble accepting that he's too old for guyliner as Green Day's drummer is, though

They actually shot this video in 1999. No Doubt is a long term project.

Also, they're sitting on 40-50 other videos that will turn up periodically well into the 2040s.

there is like ONE angle you see Gwen from at a few points in the video that makes me think oh she's starting to look a little "old" but by that i mean over 30 and not over 40 like she ridiculously actually is (xpost)

i'll rep for l.a.m.b as a 90% stellar pop album, albeit one that can be blamed for a lot of the worst things about pop subsequently. stefani's second album was strange, there really seemed to be so little effort put into it - it was like a bunch of random shitty cast-offs she found while tidying the studio one day, plus one unexpectedly great ballad ("early winter"). "wind it up" is an embarrassment.

i only like a handful of no doubt songs but i LOVE those ("hella good" and "don't speak" and er um i think that's it). i'm not feeling this on first listen really, it might grow on me.

ok the dub outro might be the only thing I like about this right now.

It's interesting to compare it to what Garbage (probably their closest contemporaries in terms of pop-not-pop bands still clinging on) are doing with their comeback.

kind of par for her solo career no? it was her first top 10 single since rich girl a year before and hollaback girl right before that. at that point 'insanity' was basically her entire thing.

i like a few avril songs. probably about as many as gwen/no doubt songs. they're both pretty terrible in general, but in specific contexts work well.
