love "Fishnet" so much

― Euler, Monday, 23 July 2012 02:51 (fourteen years ago)

Wow.

Hard to turn down "The Way You Make Me Feel" and "Wishing Well," not to mention "Mercedes Boy," but ... "My Prerogative."

Incredible list, after "Fishnet" I'd go with "Just Got Paid" & "Girlfriend"

― Euler, Monday, 23 July 2012 02:56 (fourteen years ago)

'nite and day', both pebbles singles, and 'my prerogative' are monoliths that must be respected and there's at least another half dozen up there that i could easily vote for including what might be my favorite sade single (on a hot july night at least) but tbh i gotta do da butt all night long.

― balls, Monday, 23 July 2012 02:56 (fourteen years ago)

"Fishnet", of course. Though an honorable mention goes to "Da Butt" because my cousin-in-law (is that such a thing?) is one of the dancers in the video.

erotic images float through my head

― The Reverend, Monday, 23 July 2012 02:58 (fourteen years ago)

she got a big ol' butt.

― EZ Snappin, Monday, 23 July 2012 02:59 (fourteen years ago)

Oops--I mentioned two of those on the '89 poll, so I'd better follow through: 1) "The Way You Love Me", 2) "Wishing Well" (like it more now than then), 3) "Dial My Heart." There was some Al B. Sure album track I liked better than the songs above.

"Da Butt," "Big Ole Butt," "Baby Got Back" -- it was a golden age of butt songs there in the Poppy Bush years.

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

Gonna have to go with "Wishing Well," but holy shit, what a year.

Mercedes Boy just brings back some great warm memories of Spring/Summer '88 in the Bay Area. Purely sentimental vote. Still a good song, though... Or... maybe I'll go with Wishing Well. Or Nite and Day. Or One More Try... Damn, this is a hard year.

Screw it, how many other chances will I ever get to vote for Pebbles.
