Philip Nunez, Saturday, 28 July 2012 16:48 (fourteen years ago)

MA in the house!
Gonna have to head out west and check it. I fb liked your store a bit ago. Tasty place!

mr.raffles, Saturday, 28 July 2012 16:53 (fourteen years ago)

great job with the store, I like the featured books table

If I were to see Eddie Peabody and Mike Warnke on the wall I would know that this is my kind of place

Your shop looks well-lit. That's a record store feature with which I'm unaccustomed.

Johnny Fever, Saturday, 28 July 2012 18:46 (fourteen years ago)

Gonna make another trip out there soon (and hit Toonerville Trolley on the way).

i wish toonerville was open on sundays. i never get to go there. that guy comes in my store and i always tell him to be open on sunday and he never listens to me.

scott seward, Saturday, 28 July 2012 18:48 (fourteen years ago)

Lester Bowie in the $2 section! I like how you pick up Sting's record as if to say, "What are you supposed to do with guys like this?

bamcquern, Saturday, 28 July 2012 18:53 (fourteen years ago)

Looking good! I am coming up there soon to pick up that that R&L Thompson record. Also to sit on that green thing.

Hadrian VIII, Saturday, 28 July 2012 18:56 (fourteen years ago)

does it look okay for youtube? i wanted a casual walk-through. and i skimmed at random. but i think i got enough of a mishmash in there.

scott seward, Saturday, 28 July 2012 18:57 (fourteen years ago)

anytime, hadrian.

scott seward, Saturday, 28 July 2012 18:58 (fourteen years ago)

Yes but now you should dub over a HUGE CROWD

Hadrian VIII, Saturday, 28 July 2012 19:00 (fourteen years ago)

The shopping riots for Cabbage Patch Kids or whatever

Too fast at first, then you lingered on books, good, and eventually on some LPs (couldn't see the singles so well). Good to see, but if you want to sell, maybe post a list somewhere? And take stuff off when it's gone. Don't think Blogger goes for commercial, but maybe tumblr or wordpress? With some album and book covers to get us moist.

"Insect Gladiator"! What's the bee-side?

dow, Saturday, 28 July 2012 19:47 (fourteen years ago)

yeah we have a website and if i/we ever have time to do stuff with it we will. this was just more of an overview for someone who has never been to the store.

scott seward, Saturday, 28 July 2012 19:48 (fourteen years ago)

b-side is "i'm goin' to miss you". a little more normal teen pop thing.

scott seward, Saturday, 28 July 2012 19:49 (fourteen years ago)

what's the website link?

dow, Saturday, 28 July 2012 19:50 (fourteen years ago)

yeah video gives us a good whiff

dow, Saturday, 28 July 2012 19:52 (fourteen years ago)

there's nothing on the website. its old. just phone/hours/etc. i will link if we ever do anything cool with it. i'd like to sell things from it. we have sold on discogs and ebay but that's it. i could have the whole store up online if i wanted to. just a time thing...it's just me pretty much.

scott seward, Saturday, 28 July 2012 19:52 (fourteen years ago)

Cool. Now all we need is for James Morrison to do the same thing.

Like Monk Never Happened (James Redd and the Blecchs), Saturday, 28 July 2012 20:46 (fourteen years ago)

This really makes me wish I could pop round to a decent record store without having to take a plane trip. *sigh*

Kent Burt, Sunday, 29 July 2012 00:51 (fourteen years ago)

Where do you live?

bamcquern, Sunday, 29 July 2012 01:18 (fourteen years ago)

Newfoundland.

Kent Burt, Sunday, 29 July 2012 01:42 (fourteen years ago)

That's pretty cool. there might even be a need for this now that all the record stores are closing. Kids can get the experience via youtube. You should enlist a couple of slackers to hang around for your next filming and have them debating various things. I miss the 4 record stores that have closed around me in the last 10 years or so.
