how's life, Friday, 3 August 2012 16:29 (thirteen years ago)

fiestas although man it feels weird to vote for the record that doesn't have "nassau coliseum" on it

fiestas easy though when I was first geekin out to cf "your shit is fucking unbelievable why the fuck did you break up that band!" he said several times "did you get 'half dead' - I feel like it's as good" or words to that effect

I dunno I felt like the original lineup w the first bassist had a better vibe esp live

only one of these records has "Lonely in a Limousine" on it ergo

Shrimpface Killah (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 4 August 2012 11:34 (thirteen years ago)

Half Dead by a whisker - there's nothing quite like "Naussau Coliseum" & "Viceburgh" on Fiestas.

Matos to thread.

Find it hard to get with LP, but I'd go for Fiestas.

the first side of 'half dead' is the business, the space invaders guitar on the first track, 'nassau coliseum' the best song ever written about rock music, "she says she's waiting on the steady type", 'i like the lights', "i just need a little diet cola". i think i voted for it instead of 'fiestas' even though the second half sort of merges for me into the collection of demos and b sides and stuff that was on 'soft rock' -- the other epic doesn't really work and the rest feels like a set of ideas.
