interestingly this thread was inspired by me playing "Preacherman" yesterday, then asking myself "Do you know what time it is?"

probably the greatest moment in my short-lived DJing career was playing preacherman at a house party, and a transvestite in attendance was dancing so nastily to this that she eventually got completely down on the floor and starting dancing on her back. perculator would probably have produced a similar effect.

This has got to be one of the worst songs that any human being has ever recorded. You really can just say any lyric like "It's time for the percolator" and put a beat with a funny "doo-DWEE" noise on it and make a song.

You know in that episode of The Simpsons where Itchy gently bonks Scratchy on the head with a mallet and Lisa is complaining about how boring the episode is, but they continue to watch hoping that they're building to something... and then at the end all that happens is they both say "Kids! Say no to drugs!?" That was pretty much how I felt watching "It's Time for the Percolator."
