someone mentioned beta band on the pitchfork thread and every once in a while i actually HAVE wondered what happened to those guys. so, i actually did two seconds of searching and found out that:
"Since the split, Steve Mason has released music with his solo project King Biscuit Time, as well as new projects Black Affair and Good Face. In May 2010, he released the first record in his own name entitled "Boys Outside". Robin Jones and John Maclean have become The Aliens along with former Beta Band member Gordon Anderson (a.k.a. Lone Pigeon) and Richard Greentree is working with his new band The General and Duchess Collins."
and then i listened to this. can't really figure out what to make of it, but maybe that's a good thing:

"His latest album, Ordinary Heroes was released in November 2009,[25][26] and he toured London, Cardiff and Manchester with a string section and the Morriston Orpheus Choir (in St David's Hall in Cardiff). A single, "Soon You'll Go", preceded the album's launch."

Sex, Money & Music is the seventh studio album by the Pomona, California rap group Above the Law. A single for "Sex, Money & Music"/"Ghetto Platinum" was released in 2002. That same year, the complete album was supposed to be released through Death Row Records.[1] However, it is reported that a deal could not be worked out between the group and the label,[2] therefore the project was shelved indefinitely. On February 27, 2009 the album was released and immediately became available exclusively as a digital download.
