We Got the POLL: The Go-Go's Singles Poll

Tremendously overrated band, but fun at times. I voted "Head Over Heels," because it's always felt a little odd to me, but still catchy.

I was under the impression that the accusation of overratedness had been thoroughly debunked. Link your sources.

I always vote for Our Lips Are Sealed, for reasons of proper rating, but I'm a big fan of the comeback The Whole World Losted Its Head but it could just be me.

Head Over Heels

"Head Over Heels." I was mildly excited when the Billie Joe-assisted "Unforgiven" turned out a pretty good comeback.

"Notebooks And Jeans"

"Turn to You" is awesome. Talk Show is a hair less amazing than BATB.

"Head Over Heels" followed very, very closely by "Vacation."

Wish they had released this as a single from God Bless the Go-Go's.

Our Lips Are Sealed is one of my best karaoke numbers.

Head Over Heels no question. <3. There are some great clips from that Central Park concert on youtube.

Kathy Valentine's "Head Over Heels" solo was one of the first things I learned to play when I bought my first bass back in 1987.

For me it's almost a tie between "Head Over Heels", "We Got The Beat" and "Our Lips Are Sealed". But while I was trying to decide I had "We Got The Beat" stuck in my head... so that.

this was "Head Over Heels" vs "Our Lips Are Sealed" for me, ended up voting "Head Over Heels" because basically I love songs with that title (see also: Tears For Fears)

"Head Over Heels" also has the advantage of not being played 100 times as much as WGTB.

Head Over Heels is great, but even as overplayed as it is I still love We Got the Beat like nobody's business.

It's a little rawer and iirc speedier, but I really don't have a favorite between them.

was Talk In Your Sleep not a single? love that one. they did nothing over here chart wise (even Our Lips only went to 47 and We Got The Beat went nowhere!)
and i've no idea why. only hit was Lost Its Head which was 29 for some reason.

I've never heard the original "Vacation." That is great, but I think the Go-Go's version improves it. Think I'm voting for it.

although i do have some fondness for "We Got The Beat" from when it was in my old metal band's odd repertoire of covers

i love plenty of the other songs, i just like "head over heels" the most

OTM. i still gotta vote for "our lips are sealed" tho. "head over heels" is the finest of go-go's songs, but "our lips are sealed," like, transcends the category "go-go's songs"

never dug "we got the beat" tbh. not then, not now.

Voting "Head Over Heels" too, but what I really love most is the 45 of "We Got The Beat" played at 33 1/3 rpm.
