does anyone on here like/listen to/know about Ecstatic Sunshine? defunct Baltimore collective-ish band with only sole member Matt Papich - early incarnation was super hyper surf math riff stuff w/ no drums, just clean guitars. went thru various changes thru various lineups - their crowning (released) achievement is YESTERDAY'S WORK, a 2009 album that was scuttled and obscured by a botched release and no PR. never came out on CD, just LP/digital. It's a fucking crime this record isn't better known, even in Baltimore - I have a feeling it'll be a Song Cycle type record that doesn't get its due until years later, and even then, not enough. Papich's last album as ES was WHO'S WHO IN PARADISE? an equally awesome guitar pop deconstructionist record w/ drums and some synthwork that still hasn't been released, if it ever will. anybody that knows this band, are you out there?? I will GLADLY share YW with anyone who doesn't have it and wants it. this music NEEDS to be heard.

love dustin's stuff, papich's records a little weirder and he takes a lot more left turns, he's criminally underrated even compared to dustin. love both though. btw if u don't know matt's making music now as CO LA http://soundcloud.com/co_la
