rustie is right. this is really good so far.

This Is... The Police (dog latin), Tuesday, 25 September 2012 01:19 (thirteen years ago)

listening to this loud now... sounds a lot more like "natural" dance music than most footwork. dunno if that's because my ears have become acclimatised to the style, but i could totally see a lot of people loving this and not just FW fans

This Is... The Police (dog latin), Tuesday, 25 September 2012 11:41 (thirteen years ago)

best footwork album EVER

so yeah the vivid futurist cover is apt & this is great - weird lack of samples & oddly smooth for juke but moves p effortlessly through a lot of territory & has great flow: the way warning drops in all heavy; when it shrinks down from let go to super-tight boss-level doom on traps in space. korrupted star is a 100% straight banger.

not sure if i prefer this catholic space-fruitiness to teklife v1's hyper-controlled purist laboratory minimalism though.

must be hard to dance in space

This Is... The Police (dog latin), Thursday, 27 September 2012 00:09 (thirteen years ago)

noooooooooooo

the late great, Thursday, 27 September 2012 01:37 (thirteen years ago)

ok and the title track too

i don't think the album really gets going until "destroy him my robots" which is bonkers, and then the stretch through "believe" is amazing. the last third is pretty good, i think "lazer" is kinda filler and the last two aren't in the space zone enough for my taste but "space breeze" and "liquid drug" are great too. in the first third i think i really only like "warning", though the other ones i guess do a good job of setting you up for the sound.

the late great, Friday, 28 September 2012 23:13 (thirteen years ago)

Is this Drexciya in space ? It sounds great.

Damo Suzuki's Parrot, Thursday, 1 November 2012 14:50 (thirteen years ago)

It's a hoot, Damo. Really decadent and accessible for the footwork style.

LAZER HORNZ

Mr. Zone A (Whiney G. Weingarten), Thursday, 1 November 2012 15:07 (thirteen years ago)

I feel like electro (in the og sense) is this album's secret spice.

Pingu Unchained (dog latin), Thursday, 9 May 2013 23:35 (twelve years ago)

five months pass...

The title track from this album sounds like fruity swag footwork and that's why it is the best
