one of the downsides of a super long countdown with most of the nominees present is way less suspense and possibility for surprise toward the end

theres a lot of residual love for albini but shellac seem to be in that historical 'blind spot' of recent antiquity where they are not quite old enough to really canonical while still seeming quite estranged from contemporary music

listening to the first two albums on spotify, mean man's dream remaster sounds AWESOME, hart gore sounds kinda like shit tho, those burly drums are much better on the OG release
