i dig this song. i like that there are parts where he really sings cuz for most of it, it's sort of a rap/singing mix but in a weird way

anyway 'zone'n' is a much creepier ty$ song

― goole, Wednesday, 3 October 2012 19:49 (twelve years ago)

the answer to this question is that quik wanted to fuck with people and not have them think he sings the hook on "nobody" so he asked ty to lip sync in the video

At this point, Nirvana is probably the least fratty of the four bands he mentioned, simply because Radiohead is probably used by frat boys as evidence they're "deep".

Of course, this is all guesswork as I do not actually know anyone who is a member of a frat (or to my knowledge, ever was).

― tpp, Sunday, 8 November 2015 18:10 (nine years ago)
its gonna be amazing
im afraid it wont sell so great but it's really hard to tell, he's obv put in a lot of groundwork over three years, done tons of shows, kept songs in regular rotation
i'm not sure how high the recognition factor is with him, not sure anyone hears 'blase' and goes, oh yeah dope ty dolla song
at any rate musically he's a genius and ive consistently given a pass to all the compromises because its virtually impossible for a new artist to get an album out in the weakened R&B/hip-hop radio state we're in today but we'll see
― Listen to my homeboy Fantano (D-40), Tuesday, 10 November 2015 17:55 (nine years ago)
Do women want to sleep with him though? I love Ty but I have this feeling that he mainly appeals to guys.
― human and working on getting beer (longneck), Tuesday, 10 November 2015 17:59 (nine years ago)
yeah they could've pushed out an album on the heels of "Paranoid," but just like Jhene and Sevyn and Rico Love, the label squandered his biggest hit on an EP and let all the momentum dissipate before putting out an album. i don't think it'll sell well at all, although it'll probably be enough of a calling card to keep him doing hooks and writing for people. the single w/ Fetty seems like it could do well post-"The Hills."
