Mr. BJ is reponsible for both of these bands landing their respective record contracts, but only one of these bands had Sebastian Bach as a member. Judge accordingly.

kingkongvsgodzilla wrote this on thread Jim Morrison VS. Kurt Cobain on board I Love Music on Feb 12, 2010

Jon Bon Jovi, allegedly, to Sebastian Bach: "You can be the Jim Morrison, I'll be the Van Morrison."

-Paraphrased from an early 90s interview with SB that's been rattling around in my brain for two decades.

Bon Jovi also helped/produced/wrote with Billy Falcon, Hall & Oates (!), and Desmond Child.

Cinderella, though the first couple of Skid Row records are pretty great, too.

EZ Snappin, Friday, 16 November 2012 19:02 (twelve years ago)

Billy Falcon was the other guy I was thinking of, but I couldn't remember his name and doubt anyone cares anyway.

Skid Row. Slave To The Grind still rules.

Marty Innerlogic, Friday, 16 November 2012 19:42 (twelve years ago)

I'm voting Cinderella btw, for a few reasons, but the main one is that there's not a song anywhere in Skid Row's catalogue that comes within a mile of half of what's on the Night Songs album, and especially "Nobody's Fool" which is one of my favorite tracks of the 80s in any genre.

he's totally lip synching in that nobody's fool clip

He didn't lip sync when I saw him way back when. Totally lost his voice by the end of the set.

EZ Snappin, Tuesday, 20 November 2012 00:49 (twelve years ago)

I would guess a guy with such a long history of throat problems would not be averse to faking his vocals now and again.

Sounds live to me, but the video is slightly out of sync with the audio.

I think this chili dog commercial cements Cinderella's place atop the poll
