This band is unsearchable, but I feel certain that they do not have a proper thread.

To those who have not heard this band, I can only describe them as: a bit of Sundays, a dash of dark wave, "torch songs", and utterly dreamy pop music. They just had a really fantastic and comfortable feel to them. I sometimes think of them as a very poppy This Mortal Coil, but I know that is a little off.

A lot of their songs were indistinguishable from their others. However, you must search: "Our Corner Drowning", "Anyway", and "All There Is" at the very least. Lynn Canfield makes me swoon every time.

I say Classic, of course. Also, M7X were just as good! Also, Lynn e-mailed me a few months ago when I ordered an album. I think my heart skipped a beat when I opened that e-mail!

Crazy, I was just listening to M7X's "Surrender" last night. Something in the water...

I've got two Moon Seven Times albums and one Area record. I fan emailed her a couple of years ago and she said there was a wealth of recordings that would probably never see the light of day from her bands and she wasnt sure if she could ever get back to making music (other than the reunion tour she did and the 80s covers band thing she does for fun).
I'd love to hear those vaulted records and it would be great if she got back to recording, I have no idea what the turnout might have been like for the reunion tour because even though they deserve it, I didnt realise they had a big enough following to make it possible.
I got one Lanterna record and it was great.

Very good, but the albums have their flaws. I picked them up during a long lull between Cocteau Twins albums when I saw a positive review in Option magazine. IMO Radio Caroline (1987) and The Perfect Dream (1988) are all anyone needs, as guitarist Henry Frayne largely left the fold for Between Purple and Pink (1989) and Fragments of the Morning (1990), leaving only Steve Jones on keys.

This YT user posted all of Radio Caroline (sans bonus tracks), for anyone seeking samples:

I'm probably missing a Lanterna (Frayne's solo mostly instrumental project) album or two, need to check.

Wow. I've never heard anyone else talk about this band but I got Fragments of the Morning on white vinyl back when it was released and it's been one of my favorite albums since. It was the first album I played in the new house when I set up my stereo. Seems like an odd choice but I was tired and it was very late and it just made sense. It's the only thing i've ever heard by them. Is there anything else in their catalog as good?

Turns out Frayne's Lanterna project has been on hold for 6 years, hope he's okay. Bright side I just learned about his work on Barbara Gogan & Hector Zazou's Made on Earth album from 1997, which I think I need to track down now...

I was going to say i definitely talked about them earlier this year when I found out how to get the remasters, but that was the Italian 70s band. Those're really worth checking out if you're not familiar with them. Hyper intense rock with bits of prog/fusion/ middle eastern influences and one of the weirder vocalists ever in demetrios Stratos.

Not familiar with this band that's being talked about here.

I often find myself singing the chorus from this song and I never know what triggers it:

Thanks Robert. I'll try to find it.

I feel like their best work is on 'Between Purple & Pink'. It was my introduction to the band, and it took a while for it to grow on me, but I adore it now. After digging into the band more, I came to feel that 'Between Purple' shows both sides of the band at their best - great guitar songs, great synth songs, and that voice, of course.

Projekt has the 'Between Purple' and 'Fragments' reissues on sale for $4 apiece right now, because the jewel cases have drills in them. I took them up on it, and the discs were entirely fine, so I just switched out the cases. Check it out.

Stupid html. You can find it on your own easily enough I'm sure.

It's just a shame that Area/M7X never got their due.

Ha, I was also hoping this would be about the Italian band.
