I've been asked to dj at a new club night run by some friends. The theme of the first night will be 'Electrobilly' and they tell me they've got a great rockabilly dj, and would I like to provide the electro bit.
But I, naturally, want to make things difficult for myself and see if I can't fit the remit a bit closer. Are there many rockabilly/electronic dance amalgams out there? I can only think of cheesy elvis remixes right now.

Haha, Soundcloud says: "Looks like there aren't any hot "electrobilly" tracks at the moment...."
Can't think of much offhand, save the Art Of Noise/Duane Eddy "Peter Gunn." My son is into lots of electroswing, though, which is close. Some I like better than others, but I love this:

I can't believe electro-swing is actually a thing with a scene and full on club nights now. A few years back I made a mix of disparate tunes that would have fit in with that kind of sound but would never have anticipated it becoming anything more than that.

there are some Ivan Smagghe tracks that have a rockabilly feel to them, I'll try to think of them. There's also Crowdpleaser's remix of Luft - In High Spirits which might fit. Great breakdown at 3m18s. One of my tracks of the year!

maybe not exactly what you're looking for, buut I can kinda see it working if you used 70's and 80's rockabilly-influenced punk/new wave/glammy stuff to ease the transitions between sets

This is more 'surf/twang with theremin and horror movie dialogue' than electrobilly (whatever that might be) but I thought Messer Chups deserve a mention here.

if electropsychobilly counts, that brings us to Sonovac's cover of the Cramps' "Human Fly", I guess
(not on youtube but half the track is up here and 98% of the track is on one of the Radio Soulwaxes, though the missing 2% is the synth intro, without which I guess it's more billy than electro)
