best mainstream rap remix of 2012

wow this has to be the worst year for mainstream rap remixes ever

pretty much. was trying to pick out a default #1 and the Future reworking of "Sorry" was the best thing i could think of.

i would've voted for that trouble remix where gucci shits on lil scrappy but that's not really mainstream

i'm gonna go with "we in this bitch 1.5"

def would've gone w/ the bad boy remix of "adorn" which is kind of a minor classic but that's sorta bootleg

thinking about why this list is so awful, i think maybe it shows that so much of major hip-hop right now is based on 'songcraft' as opposed to just dropping bars? maybe that's off base but there really isn't one mainstream rapper right now who makes me want to transcribe lyrics or w/e which is really the key to these kinda things. all the rappers i feel that way about are totally foreign to the radio.

the Mykko Montana song was not a big hit but was pretty awesome and the way the remix kicks off with Gucci and Nelly is kind of incredible

i always have to stop and remember that mykko montana isn't mykki blanco

the nelly line about "eating the pussy like locusts" reminds me that there's been so many gross lines about pussy this year

i like the idea of a slow jam remix of an uptempo song in style of "Get Up (Zone 4 Remix)" but that one is pretty stupid

"i'm different" is a song where i'd be mega-hyped for the remix if the state of rap remixes these days wasn't so shitty... beat/concept is perfect
