i also imagine beyoncé not only has this database chronicling her past/present but another secret online database mapping out a detailed plan of every move she will make on every day in the future. she'd probably already pencilled in she was doing the 2012 superbowl when she was 10. On the album's influences: "Mostly R&B. I always have my Prince and rock/soul influences. There's a bit of D'Angelo, some '60s doo-wop. And Aretha and Diana Ross."

it's a relief again that she's staying loyal to r&b, and not chasing guetta and calvin harris or working with sleigh bells or whatever. she talks about ~bringing r&b back~ and I guess if anyone can do so by the force of their starpower it's her.

to be fair I think the pop rules are probably slightly different in this regard
